I was teaching our church about the set of Psalms that are called, “Songs of
Ascents.” I call them “Poems for Pilgrims,” because the Israelites sang
them on their annual pilgrimage up to Jerusalem for feast days. This song,
which is derived from those Psalms is a direct summons (don’t think
summons in terms of being called to judicial court, but rather to the courts
of the Lord!) to come to the gathering of people before the Lord. The Lord
gave me this song to encourage us pilgrims.

I was glad when they said unto me, “Let’s go… Let’s go!”
